AEW Dynamite Live Results (05/28/2025)

Tonight’s AEW Dynamite in El Paso, Texas features the fallout from Double or Nothing, and begins the build to All In Texas in earnest.

After defeating Will Ospreay in the Owen Hart Foundation men’s tournament finals in the Double or Nothing main event, we will hear from the new number one contender to the AEW World Championship on tonight’s episode in Hangman Adam Page. Page challenges Jon Moxley for the World title at All In on July 12.

Owen Hart Foundation women’s tournament winner and new number one contender to the AEW Women’s World Championship Mercedes Mone will go face to face with Women’s champ and her All In foe Toni Storm on the show.

The AEW International title tournament kicks off on Dynamite with Josh Alexander facing Brody King, with the winner advancing to the four-way International Championship match at next week’s four-hour Fyter Fest to face Kenny Omega, and two participants to be determined for the title.

AEW Dynamite comes on the air with Excalibur welcoming us alongside Taz & Ian Riccaboni as they throw it to Tony Schiavone who is in the ring to introduce the winner of the Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, Hangman Adam Page, who got a huge ovation. Page walks out wearing the Owen Hart Foundation Title, as the Cup is set up ringside.

Hangman Adam Page Forced to Confront His Past While Addressing His Future

Schiavone says it was an incredibly dramatic win for Page on Sunday, who takes the mic and is met with You Deserve It chants. Page said triumph in life in momentary, but you wake up in the morning and the moment has passed you, so has defeat. The past three years, it’s something he’s let himself lose sight of. What matter isn’t the win or lose, it’s what you decide to do with it that matters. Double or Nothing, two men entered the ring knowing one of them had to be defeated, so he thanks Will Ospreay for the fight of his life and reminding him on why he decided to do this in the first place, dispelling any notion he might have had that Ospreay could carry this company going forward, because he can be. One of us tasted defeat, while the other tasted victory, which Page can’t relish in, as it’s fleeting, as the title around his waist is something he won’t defend, as next year, they’ll crown a new champion. Page hands the title to Schiavone and said he must look forward to what it’s been all about the AEW Men’s World Championship. It’s been the prize and responsibility he’s chased every moment since AEW existence. Unfortunately, that title has been locked away in a briefcase, not a shining light to show the world what the letters AEW meant, the human dignity which we all strive to treat each other, it’s what it’s all about. Page’s first day in AEW, he told the fans they would be his boss, so tonight, he makes another promise, in seven weeks, in Texas, he’ll win the AEW Title, freeing it from that briefcase. Page will defend it with every fiber of his being and that’s a promise he will keep.

Swerve Strickland’s music hits and out walks Strickland, alone. After an intense face-off, Strickland lets Page and the people know why he’s here, throwing it to the big screen. Highlights from April 9th’s episode of Dynamite and The Young Bucks saying they cost Strickland the World Title at Dynasty for their best friend, Hangman Adam Page, as they still love Page and know he still loves The Bucks. Back to the ring, Strickland said a few months ago, he looked at the same opportunity Page conveniently has at All In. Strickland hasn’t dealt with The Bucks prior to Dynasty since Blood & Guts, a match that Page was also part of. Strickland calls collusion and brings up Page’s promise of never letting Strickland becoming AEW World Champion again. Strickland orders Page not to lie to him and asks if he was responsible for The Bucks costing him the title at Dynasty? Page said well, dumbass, he locked his eyes on Strickland, then Jon Moxley and for one second, thought about helping Strickland. If Page wanted to cost Strickland the match, he would’ve done it to his face, something he’s done before. Strickland said Page is still full of sh*t, as they get in an intense face-off until Will Ospreay’s music plays and he power walks to the ring. Excalibur says Ospreay could be an unexpected pot-stirrer.

With all three men in the ring together, we get edited out Holy Sh*t chants from the crowd. Ospreay tells Strickland he hates getting into his business, as he’s looked at Strickland like a big brother, but he’s wrong about Page. Ospreay said Page had a decision to make on Sunday, he could’ve walked away after their match, but opted to walk back and shake his hand, showing he cares about AEW. It’s the same feeling Ospreay had when he lost to Strickland last year and Strickland picked him up, telling him to look around. People started to believe in them again and hates saying this to Strickland, but it’s not Strickland, just like it isn’t Ospreay, it’s Page. They have one shot at this and they can make it easier on Page if they work together. Ospreay, Strickland and Hangman, which causes Strickland to slap the mic out of Ospreay’s hands. Strickland screams at Ospreay that he will never work with Page and walks out. Ospreay & Page come face-to-face and Page said he will never take Strickland’s help, walking out as well.

They have seven weeks until All In and this was a fantastic way to continue planting seeds between Strickland & Page potentially joining forces, with Ospreay playing failed peacemaker, at least for tonight.

AEW World Champion Jon Moxley, Gabe Kidd & Marina Shafir (w/Wheeler Yuta) vs. Mark Briscoe, Speedball Mike Bailey & Willow Nightingale

(I don’t think you could find a more babyface team than Briscoe, Bailey & Nightingale and similarly, there’s not a more heelish team than Moxley, Kidd & Shafir, so these 6 worked great together, with the crowd being hot throughout. This was a pretty damn intense party match, with multiple hot tags and heat segments. A good way to get Kidd’s association with Moxley over, as he almost looked like Moxley’s Mini-Me with mannerisms and intensity.)

Bell sounds and immediately Kidd & Briscoe slug it out with punches, chops and forearms. The match broke down instantly, as Bailey & Moxley and Shafir & Nightingale brawl to the outside. Briscoe floated over in the corner and pulled Kidd to the floor, as Bailey slid a chair in, did a Sabu pose before launching off the chair onto the pile, even wiping out Shafir, as things went to commercial.

Briscoe found himself worked over during break after Moxley blindsided him with a knee to the back, leading to a Kidd Exploder. Shafir briefly tagged in and got her shots in on Briscoe, who fought off Kidd & Moxley, able to get to Bailey for the hot tag. Bailey lit up Moxley with kicks and running Shooting Star for two. Moxley slid out of a corner hurricanrana attempt, swept the leg out, but Bailey fired off a thrust kick flush. Shafir & Nightingale tag in and trade stiff shots, as Nightingale connected on a series of lariats and thrust kick of her own, leading to a spinebuster for two, which Kidd broke up, grabbing Nightingale by the hair. Briscoe tackled Kidd to the floor, as Bailey saved Nightingale, who Moxley put his hands on. Bailey did a pose, resulting in Shafir dropping him on his head with an overhead German Suplex. Shafir turned around into a Nightingale lariat, causing a complete reset. Bailey & Moxley made the tag, but Yuta threw a chair in to distract referee Aubrey, allowing him to knock Bailey to the floor. Kidd quickly drove Bailey into the barricade and then hit a reverse fireman’s carry slam through the timekeepers table, going to another break.

While it was Briscoe who got beat up during the first commercial, it was Bailey’s turn the second go around. Bailey tried a forearm battle with Moxley, lost, so quickly fired off kicks, but was too far from his corner. Kidd made the tag, cut off Bailey, wiped out Briscoe and I think even spat at Nightingale, before walloping Bailey with a lariat. We see Kris Statlander watching from backstage, as Bailey hit a standing moonsault double knees on Kidd before Briscoe made the hot tag. Hard strike exchange with Kidd, who bit at the cut of Briscoe before firing headbutts to the chest. Kidd missed a charge and ran into a Briscoe Exploder to the outside. Briscoe & Nightingale hit stereo tumbleweeds off the apron, as Bailey flew off the ropes into a moonsault to the floor. Yuta got kicked off the apron by Bailey, as Briscoe hit a Froggy Bow on Kidd, who kicked out.

Jay Driller was blocked, as Claudio Castagnoli appeared on the outside, distracting Briscoe, but Komander came flying in with his rope walk dive, wiping out Castagnoli, as commentary brings up their match on Collision this weekend. Back inside, Briscoe got a roll-up on Moxley for two, but he popped up and quickly hit a Paradigm Shift. Bulldog Choke on Briscoe, Camel Clutch on Bailey by Kidd, as Shafir locked on Mother’s Milk on Nightingale, as all three babyfaces went out simultaneously.

-The Hurt Syndicate had post-match comments after Double or Nothing’s title defense. MVP said it was the 5th successful title defense and the debut as MJF as a full-fledged member of The Hurt Syndicate. MJF put over Lashley & Benjamin and said those titles aren’t going nowhere. It’s time to strap them all in gold and for MJF to get back his Triple B. When it comes to The Syndicate, it’s not personal, it’s just business.

-Pre-match comments from Megan Bayne & Penelope Ford, who said tonight, Anna Jay & Harley Cameron are their next sacrifices after cheating in their match at Double or Nothing. The No DQ Tag Team Match is up next.

-Ricochet is in the back and said he told everyone that after Double or Nothing, he’d continue his quest for gold, but looked at the landscape. He sees Death Riders, The Opps, Don Callis Family and realizes, Ricochet needs a crew, some loyal subjects on his quest for gold. Once he finds the perfect crew, he’ll show everyone why Ricochet is out of this world. Ricochet kept saying the word crew, so maybe he means CRU? I could be reading too much into that, but possibly?

Harley Cameron & Anna Jay vs. Megan Bayne & Penelope Ford in a No DQ Match

(As soon as this match was announced, it definitely felt like a way to give Bayne & Ford their win back from the PPV, while also re-establishing Bayne as a complete monster. While Cameron & Jay got their moments of hope in this, Bayne was unstoppable for the majority of this battle. Cameron & Jay got beat up pretty good and I can’t put over their toughness enough, especially Cameron, who took a real nasty bump going face first onto the steps at one point.)

Ford came out wielding a trash can and Bayne had a golden chair, while Cameron & Jay had boards. Jay started chucking chairs into the ring, as Bayne wasted no time attacking Cameron, setting her up on a chair in the corner. Ford drove Jay into the barricade, while Bayne missed a corner cannonball through the chair. Double DDT by Jay & Cameron on Ford, while Bayne no sold a board shot by Jay, so Cameron decked her with a pipe to the back. Chair and pipe shots ping ponged Bayne, who never went down and she took both out with clotheslines. Cameron avoided a suplex, drop toe hold on Bayne into the gold chair, while Jay hit a snap dropkick on the chair into Bayne’s face. Big Boot/Leg Sweep combo onto a Ford, as the crowd chanted for tables and promptly got what they wished for, as Jay & Cameron set it up as things went to break.

During commercial, Bayne recovered and drove Jay through a table in the corner via Death Valley Driver, but Cameron made the save, only to suffer a gut-wrench release German for her troubles. Bayne wanted a Uranage off the apron through the table, but Cameron battled back, tried a sunset bomb, fought off, as Jay whacked her in the head with a chair and Bayne crashed through the table. Ford caught Jay with a lungblower, but missed a standing moonsault onto a chair. Cameron tried a cazadora on Bayne, who countered into a face buster onto the steps. Referee Paul Turner had the doctors come check on Cameron, who busted her nose opened badly, but she refused help. Gory Special connected on Ford by Jay, but Bayne made the save and hit Fate’s Decent onto a chair. Cameron saved her partner this time, but was dropped by a Bayne lariat. A furious Bayne started chucking chairs at Cameron, as the doctors tended to Jay on the outside. Ford went up top and they hit just enough of a Doomsday Device on Cameron to get the win.

AEW Trios Champions The Opps (Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs & Katsuyori Shibata) vs. The Frat House (Preston Vance, Cole Karter & Griff Garrison w/Jacked Jameson)

(To keep it short, if you wanted to see the annihilation of a group of bros, The Opps had you covered tonight.)

Footage of the Frat House partying on the bars of El Paso was shown before the match, as Jameson runs down the crowd. There are “pledges” in the ring holding a Frat House flag, as the expression on a very annoyed and impatient Joe, Hobbs & Shibata are gif worthy. Vance foolishly got into the face of Joe, which is all it took, as the slaughter was on. Joe flattened Vance with a senton, as Garrison came in and tried a chop and forearm exchange with Shibata, so you could tell how that went. Stalling corner dropkick and float over suplex got two, as Karter was in and Hobbs rag dolled the hell out of him and delivered Meat locomotion lariats. Straps were lowered, as Jameson hit Hobbs with the paddle from behind, quickly being dispatched as a result. Hobbs dished out Spinebusters to everyone in his path, finally putting Karter away with one after he tried leaping off the top.

The Toxic Spider is All Elite

Renee Paquette is in the ring and introduced a woman who fought her heart out at Double or Nothing, Jamie Hayter. Paquette brings up Hayter being unsuccessful at the PPV and asks what is next for her? Before Hayter could say anything, the lights went out and the red spider we’ve seen on screen the last few weeks was shown on the big screen. The Toxic Spider, Thekla, has debuted, as she was in the ring and attacked Hayter with a wild forearm, standing over her. Thekla did a spider pose, which Taz called Tarantula Jones, as Hayter rolled out of the ring. We’re told Thekla was fired from Stardom, with cause, for striking not just a company official, but the president of the company.

Adam Cole vs. Kyle Fletcher (w/Don Callis & Lance Archer) for the TNT Title

(When this match was announced earlier this afternoon, I thought it was quite early to be having a match like this, maybe even a title switch. As soon as Fletcher got the win for his team at Double or Nothing, it felt like he & Cole for the TNT Title would be a match at All In. The result tonight makes me think that’s still the direction, as a rare AEW disqualification took place here tonight.)

Callis joined commentary, as Fletcher turned his back to Cole’s entrance pose, which Taz told Callis was gimmick infringement for HOOK. Callis asks Riccaboni if he won a contest to be part of the booth tonight? Fletcher showed off his size and power advantage early, as Callis puts over Cole as being one of the greats, which is what his Family wants to beat, greats, not tomato cans. Fletcher sent over the top onto the apron, where Cole fired off a superkick, as he teased a Panama Sunrise, but RPG Vice made the save and stood in front of Fletcher. Roderick Strong & Kyle O’Reilly ran down and fought Beretta & Romero to the back, as the distraction allowed Fletcher to attack Cole and deliver a violent apron powerbomb, causing Cole’s head to clip the apron as things went to picture in picture. That was a horrifying landing for Cole, who was checked by the referee before putting the count on him, so I assume Cole is ok.

Cole tried battling back when things returned, but Fletcher quickly hit a spinning bodyslam. Fletcher opted to pose, as the delay allowed Cole to hit a superkick, willing his way back into the match with the crowd loudly behind him. Forearm exchange saw Cole ramp up the offense with a pump kick and Last Shot for two. Panama Sunrise countered into a roll-up for two, as Fletcher popped up with a snap German and running corner boot. Fletcher wanted a brainbuster, but Cole countered into another Last Shot and Panama Sunrise flush. Cole lowered the knee pad and looked for The Boom, but Josh Alexander sprinted in and attacked for the disqualification.

Fletcher & Alexander kept putting the boots to Cole until Brody King’s music hit and he came charging to the ring with a chair, as Alexander & Fletcher bailed. Security ran down to separate both parties, as we’re told Alexander & King’s match will be next.

Brody King vs. Josh Alexander in an AEW International Title 4-Way Qualifier

(If you saw the time limit draw these two had on Collision a few weeks back, you knew this would be a hard-hitting war and that’s exactly what it was. I could watch these two battle it out time and time again, as they both bring out the best in one another. The crowd loudly was behind King, who is the first to advance in next weeks 4-Way for the International Title.)

Things returned from break and both King & Alexander chucked security from the ring and slugged it out. Snap dropkick out of the corner from Alexander, who choked King with his shirt for good measure. Callis called Alexander the greatest of all time from Canada, as King hit a big back drop and shoved his shirt down the throat of Alexander, tumbling outside. Alexander dodged a chop against the post, allowing him to post King again, targeting the right arm. King fought back with a slam onto the LED barricade, but clutched the injured hand. King teased a dive, but Alexander cut off the momentum with a DDT through the ropes onto the apron. Alexander drove King into the steps and stayed in control during commercial.

Back from break, King managed a release German suplex, tried a lariat with the bad arm, didn’t have much effect, so he threw one with the left and caused a double down. Both go up in the corner, as the top buckle pad was removed, allowing Alexander to drive King’s bad arm down onto the steel. Alexander wanted a suplex on the apron, but King locked on a sleeper. Alexander wrenched the bad arm and connected on a German on the edge of the ring. Alexander tried to mock King by trying a charge against the barricade, but King got a boot up and hit a charging cross body of his own. Back inside, King wanted his corner cannonball, but Alexander moved and got the ankle lock. Arm trapped German out of the corner by Alexander, who is now busted opened above the eye, as King landed right on Alexander’s face. Up to the top, Alexander wanted a moonsault, but King got the knees up and hit a King Kong Lariat. King answered with a wild Gonzo Bomb for the win in a hard-hitting battle. Taz said it looks like Alexander got hit in the face with a bowling ball.

-Kyle Fletcher is backstage, furious, saying he didn’t need anyone’s help to defeat Adam Cole tonight, as right on cue, Cole sprinted in and they brawled until security had to separate them. Cole screamed he had Fletcher beat and he’d kill him.

Timeless Toni Storm & Mercedes Mone Face-to-Face

Mone comes to the ring first and said she’s the greatest winner of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. Legends like Owen Hart and her idol, Eddie Guerrero, they don’t even compare to the greatness of Mercedes Mone. It’s why she is the CEO of AEW, as Mone was immediately cut-off by the music of Timeless Toni Storm, who made her way to the ring after sending Luther to the back.

Both ladies circle one another before Storm places the AEW Women’s Title on the between them. Mone said the fans are sick of the black and white, wanting a champion full of color. Storm said she’s waited so long for Mone, 441 days ago, Mone arrived in AEW on a show named after her, since then, she’s won titles, made history and remained undefeated. Storm said Mone has never once looked nor spoken to her, but claimed to have been watching her since before she even came to AEW, telling Anthony Khan it’s the one match she wanted to have, so what took her so long? Mone said patience, darling, patience, as it’s not about Storm, it’s about Mone’s legacy and again called herself the Beyonce of Pro Wrestling. Mone put herself over as the conversation, the blueprint, the revolution.

Storm said she’s the Toni Storm of Pro Wrestling and Mone has never met anyone like her. Mone said the shy, nervous girl she met 10 years ago is very different, so is Mone, she’s no longer a Boss, she’s a CEO, being the best all over the world. At All In, she’s bringing the AEW Women’s Title home and they’ll have the greatest women’s match of all time.

Storm mentioned a lot of similarities over their careers, leaving certain success behind because they realized it wasn’t enough, so they followed their hearts to AEW, becoming exactly who they’re meant to be. One glaring difference, while Mone wants all the titles, Storm needs only one, as she’s lived, cried, bled and died for this. If Mone wants to ride the Mone Train through the Toni Tunnel, she hopes she can get deep enough. Mone said not even Storm’s hips are deep enough for the Mone Train. Storm brought up 45 days from now, they’ll meet in Texas and somewhere in the world, a little girl with big dreams will be watching and say “holy sh*t, these bitches are crazy” and then she’ll find out who the better woman is. Storm sincerely believes Mone is the greatest of all time, but unfortunately for her, Storm happens to be Timeless.

Mone said Storm might be Timeless, but her time will come to an end at All In. Storm said she’ll see her there, darling. Mone offers a handshake and Storm slowly accepts, as Mone pulls her in, Storm gives a smell before kissing the hand. Mone tries a Mone Maker, but Storm avoids, tries Storm Zero, as Mone bails, leaving Storm standing tall and rolling around in the ring with her title to end the show. An excellent start to this feud and one I look forward to continuing over the next 6 weeks.
