Indy Pro Wrestling is here live at the Sears Centre in Chicago, IL.
Before the show AEW showcased the Illinois Special Olympics. AEW stars Sonny, Luchasaurus, & Hangman Adam Page came out with the children of the Illinois Special Olympics.
Show starts off with Le Champion Chris Jericho Thanksgiving Celebration. Jericho is celebrating then calls out his inner circle crew. Santana and Ortiz give Jericho a boriqua gift basket filled with Vicks Vaporub, chanclas, and a little bit of the 40. Jericho then calls out his team mate Jake Hager. Once he makes his presence own. Jericho then proceeds to ask about what's in the big present. Santana and Ortiz then start to lift up the box to then reveal that Chris Jericho's own father Ted Irvine is there. A little confused where he is Mr. Irvine then shows his love for the city of New York, the Chicago crowd boos. Jericho then proceeds to address the crowd at home and in the arena that he has a letter from the network (TNT). Jericho then forces Justin Roberts to read the letter out loud. The letter praises Jericho since AEW is the hottest wrestling promotion right now. The Inner Circle the proceeds to beat up Justin Roberts. Then out from the stage comes out SCU. They now make it an even playing field.
This was a great segment to build up the match of Scorpio Sky vs Chris Jericho for the AEW title later tonight.
Best Friends vs. Lucha Bros
Match gets underway, quick hug by Best Friends in this one. Trent goes for the pin, two. Pentagon and Fenix with the stereo super-kicks on Trent. Pentagon works over Trent as we goes to break. Taylor gets in there and hits multiple clotheslines, standing sliced bread on Fenix. Goes for the single leg Boston crab on Pentagon, but eats super-kick by Fenix. Fenix charges in, Taylor with an overhead release suplex, sending Fenix into the Pentagon.
Trent in there, but gets dropped by Pentagon Jr., cover, two. Ross notes that Lucha Bros are currently number one in the rankings. Cassidy (dressed as a turkey) distracted Pentagon, Trent with a roll-up for only two. Trent plants Fenix into the mat, cover, 1-2-3!
Winners: Best Friends via Pinfall
Hikaru Shida and Kris Statlander vs. Bea Priestley and Emi Sakura
Back and forth action that leads out to the floor. Shida sets up a chair on the outside, Emi gets in the way and drinks some "tea." Shida shoves her off then hits a leaping knee on Emi. Beat gets back into it, drops Shida and sends her back into the ring. Emi and Bea working over Shida. Priestley with a running boot to Shida's head, cover, two. Emi tags in, abdominal stretch (while singing in the mic that she brought into the ring), kick to Shida's head. Bea tags in while the crowd gives Emi an "Emi sucks!" chant. Shida with an enziguri, but Bea returns fight with a release german suplex. Shida with a high knee, and finally brings Statlander into the ring. She chops Emi, bridges under an attack, kick to the head, drops Bea off the apron, clocks Emi, and then does and Oklahoma roll for a two-count. Emi drops Statlander, goes for a moonsault, misses, Shida with a boot to the back of the head. Statlander with a kick to the head, electric chair position into a facebuster, scissors kick, cover, very close three count. Bea gets in the ring, eats a right roundhouse. Emi ends up hitting Statlander in the back with the mic stand while the referee was checking on Bea. Emi with a tricky roll-up for the victory.
Winners: Emi Sakura and Bea Priestley via Pinfall
Backstage, Jon Moxley says he's blazing a trail, "I'm napalm death," as he runs through the AEW roster. Moxley says he wonders if anyone is out there that wants to get to him before he gets them. Someone crazy. Moxley continues that he wonders if anyone wants to step up and be a hero, "go ahead, try it," Moxley says before heading off.
Cody vs. Matt Knicks
Cody shakes Matt's hand as they get going. Cody sweeps the leg, but Knicks gets a shot on Cody's beat up ribs. Cody able to hit a springboard cutter though. He then takes weight-belt off and launches it into the crowd! Cody drops Knicks and locks in the figure-four, Knicks taps out.
Winner: Cody via Submission
Post-match, Cody gets on the mic and starts out with "MJF, we don't have to wait, let's do this right here." Up from underneath the ring comes The Blade (aka Braxton Sutter/Pepper Parks) and The Butcher! Looks like a new tag team has debuted on AEW. Allie joins the group and is now known as "The Bunny."
PAC vs. Kenny Omega
Omega out hot in this match, taking PAC down at every turn. PAC ends up rolling to the floor, Omega looks to fly, flips over the top and takes out PAC. PAC recovers, hits a moonsault from the floor to the ring. PAC gets Omega back in the ring, PAC, flips into the ring, couple reversals, Omega hits a snap dragon suplex. Omega able to keep the offense going, multiple strikes, fisherman's buster, cover, two. The two wrestlers end up on the top rope, PAC with a super falcon arrows, cover two-count. PAC heads to the top again, goes for the black arrow, but the pool was empty. Omega lands v-trigger! One winged angel, no, Omega with a crucifix pin, no. Omega then rolls and stacks PAC up for another pin attempt, and he gets it!
Winner: Kenny Omega via Pinfall
MJF (with Wardlow) vs. Adam Page (Winner receives the AEW Diamond Ring)
Commentary announces this will be an annual match in regards to who gets the ring for the year. Page goes to work on MJF right off the bat, gets out of the ring. Page looks to fly, but Wardlow gets in the way. Page comes out to the floor and throws MJF into the barricade. Page stares at Wardlow for a moment, goes to get back in the ring, Wardlow grabs his foot, Page jaws at him. MJF distracts the referee, Wardlow ends up sending Page into the ring post. Back from break, Page is really taking it to MJF, he goes for a pin, Wardlow puts MJF's foot on the ropes to break it up. Page getting annoyed with Wardlow, he goes to say something to him and eats a massive punch while the referee checked on MJF. MJF with an ugly looking cross rhodes for the 1-2-3.
Winner: MJF via Pinfall
Post-match, Diamond Dallas Page heads out to the ring to present the AEW Dynamite Diamond Ring to MJF. He gets on the mic and says why he's there, he then hands over the ring to MJF. MJF takes it, puts it on his finger, and gives it a kiss. Page says some of MJF actions have been very disappointing, but tonight he's the man (while slapping him on his shoulder). DDP says "while I'm the bigger man, I'll congratulate you like a man." DDP puts out his hand and MJF puts his gum in DDP's hand. DDP says "seriously?" MJF responds, "seriously." DDP gets in MJF's face, Wardlow then gets in DDP's face. DDP says he better get out of his face and a mini-brawl breaks out, but security and referees get involved before too much goes down.
In the ring, Dustin Rhodes talks with Jennifer Decker. Members of the Inner Circle get in the ring and eventually take down Dustin. From the back from Matt Jackson, hitting a double clothesline. Nick then comes out and they hit double super-kicks. Sammy clocks Matt, hits Dustin, but then eats a triple super-kick. Santana, Ortiz, and Sammy each get a curtain call (kick between the legs).
We see that random guy from last week look at a Dark Order flyer, taking a phone number from it. Cut to a group meeting with the Dark Order talking to a group of people about reaching their full potential in life. Evil Uno says, "We are everything, we are one. Are you ready to pledge to the Dark Order?"
Chris Jericho (c) vs. Scorpio Sky (AEW World Championship)
Chris Jericho is able to drop Scorpio Sky and does some very early taunting. Crowd with a "stupid idiot" chant. Jericho with a head lock, "Who's an idiot now!?" Jericho with a couple shoulder tackles, but Sky hits a dropkick, then clotheslines Jericho out of the ring, Sky to the floor, hits another boot to the face. Back in the ring, Sky with a sunset flip, two. Back and forth action, Sky ends up on the apron, Jericho with a dropkick that send Sky to the floor. Sky hits a cutter on Jericho, chops to the chest, but Jericho is able to lock in the lion-tamer. Sky is able to make his way to the bottom rope though for the break. Aubrey Edwards has to physically stop Jericho who then gets in her face. Sky with a cutter and goes into a dragon sleeper. Jake Hager runs down and jumps on the apron, Sky knocks him, Jericho with a roll-up for two. Double clothesline by both wrestlers. Now Frankie Kazarian and Christopher Daniels go after Hager and force him backstage. Edwards is distracted, Jericho grabs the title, swings, misses, Sky with TKO, cover, two! Sky thought that was it. Sky with some punches, charges in, eats a boot, Jericho up to the second rope, but Sky with a standing hurricanrana, cover, two. Sky leaps off the second rope and takes a code-breaker, pin, two-count. Jericho tries for Judas effect, no, roll-up, two. Jericho able to lock in the lion-tamer in the middle of the ring, Sky taps out.
Winner: Chris Jericho via Submission to retain the AEW World Championship.
Post-match, Jericho goes back to Sky and really locks in the lion-tamer. Jon Moxley's music then hits and Moxley comes out in the crowd and just stares at Jericho. Jericho barks at Moxley, gets his title and taunts Moxley a bit. Moxley finally makes his way closer to the ring as the show comes to a close.
