Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that former WWE superstar Brian Christopher aka Grandmaster Sexay, the son of Jerry Lawler, has been hospitalized after hanging himself in jail. Christopher, 46, was arrested due to a DUI earlier this month – with sources indicating that he may well have passed away, although this has yet to be officially confirmed by PWS. We’ll keep you updated with the latest news when it comes through.
UPDATE: According to PWInsider, multiple sources have confirmed that the situation is dire and that family members are gathering to say their goodbyes to Brian as he is not expected to recover.
UPDATE: Former WWE Superstar Brian “Grand Master Sexay” Christopher has passed away at the age of 46.
Christopher is a former WWE Tag Team Champion (Too Cool) and the son of WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler.
Fox 13 Memphis reports that Christopher was taken to the hospital last evening after an incident at the Hardeman County Sheriff’s Department in Bolivar, TN where Christopher was reportedly found hanging in his cell. Corrections officers reportedly administered CPR until paramedics arrived. Christopher was taken to nearby Regional One Medical Center in Memphis and was taken off life support this afternoon. He passed away shortly thereafter.
