After calling out Kenny Omega last week, Bryan Danielson once again took to the ring Wednesday on AEW Dynamite to repeat his challenge to the AEW World Champion.
Danielson met with Tony Schiavone in the ring, but before anything could even happen, Omega and Don Callis interrupted them. Callis called Danielson a “hippie millionaire” and stated that he was fake for claiming that he made the decision to come to AEW for the good of wrestling. He claimed that even if Danielson really does believe that, it’s because he was nothing more than a “mark” like the rest of the crowd.
Bryan then quickly cut everyone off, and said that he was there to talk to Omega and Omega only. “The American Dragon” went on to say that at some point, their conflict may be about the AEW Championship, but for now it’s just about one simple question — who’s better? Danielson then said that he came to AEW to fight the “God of Professional Wrestling”, but since he’s been here, all he’s seen is someone who hangs out with “goofy stooges” who do all the talking for him. In fact, Danielson shared his belief that Omega has lost his “balls.”
Omega had finally heard enough at this point, and said that if Danielson wants the “Best Bout Machine”, then the answer was yes, thus setting the stage for a dream match next week on AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam.
