Chris Jericho Is Open To Working ROH/NJPW G1 Supercard At MSG

At 47 years old, Chris Jericho is one of the hottest free agents in professional wrestling and it seems like every major wrestling company wants him. Until a few weeks ago, it wasn’t possible to sign him in the United States because of his loyalty to Vince McMahon but that changed when he appeared at All In last week in Chicago. Now, Jericho is opening the door for a match at the ROH/NJPW G1 Supercard in Madison Square Garden.

Here is what he had to say about a possible appearance on the show:

“There’s a whole market for hardcore wrestling fans. Maybe it’s not even hardcore anymore. The whole strain of fans of wrestling that are excited about all of these other options — I didn’t think there was a chance of me doing All In but at this point in time…sure, there’s a chance. If there’s a match that’s presented to me that’s interesting and if I’m free…why not? I’m really kind of enjoying this free agency and realizing why do I have to keep it in Japan?”

Jericho said that this is the first time he’s been completely in control and it’s fun. He said that there are other places to go to aside from WWE and it will come down to the best creative idea and best offer.

It sure sounds like he is very open to wrestling at MSG on the night before WrestleMania and opposite of NXT Takeover. It will be interesting to see if WWE decides to reach out to him with a bigger money offer. Listen to his comments below:
