Former NXT star Leon Ruff made his AEW Dark debut during tonight's tapings in Orlando, FL. Ruff is a former NXT North American Champion. He signed with WWE in 2020, and the company released him during a wave of cuts in August 2021. In recent months, he has competed for Game Changer Wrestling and TERMINUS, among other promotions. He also wrestled at BATTLE SLAM: VENDETTA.
No word yet if Leon has signed a deal with AEW or if this was just a tryout.
