G1 Climax 30- Night 4 Results (9/24/2020)


In the opening match we have Yota Tsuji vs. Yuya Uemura. Tsuji gets a submission win with a Boston Crab. Solid match. Gabriel Kidd who was on ringside duty had a stare down with Tsuji as he left the ring.


B Block Tournament Matches:


Hirooki Goto vs. SANADA.

Goto's right shoulder was taped up from his last G1 match with KENTA. Both were evenly matched until it spilled to the floor. SANADA attacked the injured shoulder of Goto. Goto fought back to make the match competitive. SANADA hit an ushigaroshi but missed a moonsault. He caught Goto in Skull End, which Goto reversed into a suplex position, lifted SANADA's legs onto the top rope and dropped him down into a GTR. Two count only. Goto followed up with a headbutt and a fireman's carry into another GTR. Goto hit a leg strike to SANADA's chest and hit one final GTR. Goto pins SANADA and earns 2 points. Great match. Good comeback for Goto. SANADA has some catching up to do.


WINNER: Hirooki Goto


Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Toru Yano.

Yano tried to bait Tanahashi to come out of the ring, however, The Ace was not falling for his trap. Yano tried his turnbuckle trick but Tanahashi played air guitar on the turnbuckle. Yano tumbled out of the ring and Tanahashi followed. Yano attacked him and he threw Tanahashi into the guardrail. They brawled all the way up the entrance ramp to entryway. The ring announcer was counting. Yano took off running at full speed back to the ring to make it back to the ring. Tanahashi followed. Both made it back before getting counted out. Tanahashi leg whipped Yano, who rolled out of the ring favoring his leg. Tanahashi followed him out. Yano threw him into the ring barrier and pulled out tape from the turnbuckle. Yano attempted to tie up Tanahashi but Tanahashi stole the tape and taped up Yano's eyes. Referee is counting and Tanahashi rolled back in the ring. Blinded, Yano also makes it back into the ring. Tanahashi grabs him and hits Twist and Shout. Tanahashi went for a Slingblade but Yano pulled the ref in front of him. Yano low blowed Tanahashi and grabbed him in a small package pin. Yano wins! Fun match. Yano leads the B Block with 4 points.


WINNER: Hiroshi Tanahashi


Juice Robinson vs. KENTA.

Match started slow but picked up the pace. Robinson and KENTA match up well due to their time in the L.A. Dojo and in NXT. KENTA hit a dropkick in the corner and a double stomp from the top rope. Two count only. KENTA hit a draping DDT for another two count. Robinson countered with a full nelson slam. They start throwing punches and strikes. Robinson hit a gut buster for a two count. KENTA reversed out of a Pulp Friction attempt and started throwing wicked open hand strikes. Robinson seemed out on his feet. KENTA goes for a GTS but Robinson blocks it and hits two Left Hands from God. Robinson hits Pulp Friction and pins KENTA. Great match! Juice's victory means that he pinned the Number One Challenger for the IWGP U.S. Heavyweight Championship. If KENTA wins the title from Jon Moxley, then Robinson would be the next in line for a title shot.

YOSHI-HASHI vs. EVIL, with Dick Togo.

EVIL tries to attack YOSHI-HASHI before the bell with a chair. YOSHI-HASHI counters with his staff that he carries to the ring. Togo distracts YOSHI-HASHI and takes the match to the outside. EVIL suplexes YOSHI-HASHI onto chairs, injuring his back. YOSHI-HASHI rallied back but EVIL nailed a superplex from the top rope. EVIL throws YOSHI-HASHI into an exposed turnbuckle. EVIL hits Darkness Falls for a two count. EVIL tries for Everything is Evil but YOSHI-HASHI blocks it and throws EVIL into the turnbuckle head first. YOSHI-HASHI hits a suplex and locks on the Butterfly Lock. Togo jumps on the apron, but YOSHI-HASHI knocks him to the floor. EVIL recovers. Togo takes out his piano wire and EVIL gets thrown into Togo. YOSHI-HASHI hits a Back Cracker on EVIL and applies the Butterfly Lock.


EVIL tries to break it by grabbing YOSHI-HASHI's ear, but locks it in deeper. EVIL reaches the ropes and gets a break. EVIL hits a lariat to drop YOSHI-HASHI. They attempt to apply their finishers but keep countering. YOSHI-HASHI body slams EVIL and hits a senton from the top rope. Two count. YOSHI-HASHI attempts to hit Karma on EVIL. EVIL grabs Red Shoes. Togo hits YOSHI-HASHI in the back with a chair. Then takes the piano wire to choke YOSHI-HASHI. YOSHI-HASHI powers out of the choke hold and punches Togo. YOSHI-HASHI hits a kick and lariat on EVIL. YOSHI-HASHI attempts Karma again, EVIL reverses the hold, low blows YOSHI-HASHI and hits Everything is Evil. EVIL wins and earns two points. Great match. YOSHI-HASHI looked really good in this match.


WINNER: EVIL


Tetsuya Naito vs. Zack Sabre Jr.

They start mat wrestling and grappling. ZSJ starts focusing on the left arm of Naito. Naito counters with Lucha Libre moves and ZSJ flies out of the ring. Naito does the Tranquilo pose. ZSJ quickly slides in the ring and attempts 3 quick pins on Naito. Naito barely kicks out of the third pin. ZSJ grounds Naito with 2 quick neck twists. ZSJ begins to tie Naito into knots with submission hold focusing on his neck. ZSJ throw vicious European uppercuts to the head and neck of Naito. Naito counters with a neck breaker of his own. Naito began attacking ZSJ's neck until ZSJ hit a swinging DDT. ZSJ used his legs to lock choke holds on Naito's neck again. Naito dropped ZSJ with a leg sweep and slid to the outside and hit a hanging neck breaker from the apron to the floor. Naito hit a series of elbows to the head of ZSJ, who was staggering.


Naito hit a hurricanrana and a tornado DDT. He locked ZSJ in a neck submission until he reached the ropes. ZSJ locked Naito in the Octopus Lock. They start trading punches and forearms. Naito hits Gloria. Naito attempts to finish off ZSJ with Destino but it is reversed into a Zack Driver. Brutal! ZSJ attempts a European Clutch for a two count. ZSJ rolls Naito into a Japanese Leg Rolling Clutch for a two count. ZSJ with a punt kick to the chest for a two count. Naito reverses another Zack Driver into a reverse DDT. Naito finally hits Destino for a pin and 2 points. Awesome match! These wrestlers put on a wrestling clinic and looked completely exhausted.
