Kenny Omega is reportedly the subject of an upcoming HBO documentary that will be released in 2019.
According to Toronto musician Joseph Shabason, he scored music for the untitled documentary about Omega, and said it would be released some time in 2019. Shabason was a guest on the Kreative Kontrol podcast with Vish Khanna:
"I just finished a documentary about a wrestler. That’s going to be coming out on HBO in the New Year, which is going to be really exciting. It’s a wrestler named Kenny Omega. He’s a wrestler from Winnipeg, but went to Japan and formed this tag team called the Golden Lovers, which was sort of like the first ever queer storyline in wrestling. He’s a pretty incredible dude; I was really happy with scoring that."
HBO also co-produced the Andre The Giant documentary that premiered in April with WWE, JMH Films and Ringer Films. No other confirmed details about the project are known at this time.
