As written in the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the HonorClub ticket pre-sale for G1 Supercard which is the supershow hosted by ROH and NJPW at Madison Square Garden during WrestleMania weekend, going head to head with NXT TakeOver, next year sold 9000 tickets. General sale goes on sale starting Friday and the show is expected to sell out. The Observer notes that a large majority of people likely bought tickets for Omega, Cody, and The Young Bucks who may not even be under contract by the time the show rolls around.

UPDATE: It is now being reported that over 12,000 tickets have been sold.

This is HUGE news for the world of professional wrestling. We are experiencing a resurgence in popularity mostly due to how popular the Bullet Club and the Young Bucks are. The star power of the working relationship that Ring of Honor has with New Japan Pro Wrestling. The early success of ALL IN also helps prove that you don't need the WWE or it's stars to sell over 10,000 tickets. From here on out all we can do is speculate on what other companies can benefit from the success of ALL IN, ROH, & New Japan.

Can this also lead to increased ticket sales for other promotions such as Impact Wrestling, MLW, PWG, House of Hardcore? Only time will tell.
