IMPACT Wrestling Lands New UK TV Deal For Weekly Shows And Pay-Per-Views

IMPACT Wrestling has announced a new TV deal for the UK and Ireland that will enable fans to keep up with all the weekly action, plus pay-per-view events.

FreeSports will air IMPACT’s flagship weekly show every Wednesday night at 10pm, just hours after the show takes place in the United States, starting this Wednesday (October 7).

IMPACT's pay-per-view events will now be airing on Premier Sports, starting with Bound For Glory which will air live from Nashville, Tennessee on Sunday, October 25 at 1am.

Matches already announced for the show include Eric Young or Eddie Edwards taking on Rich Swann for the IMPACT Championship, Deonna Purrazzo or Susie vs Kylie Rae for the Knockouts Championship and Motor City Machine Guns vs The Good Brothers for the IMPACT Tag Team Championship.

Ahead of Bound For Glory, Premiere Sports 2 will air Victory Road on Tuesday, October 6 at 9pm.

The special three-hour extravaganza will be headlined by a rematch between Eddie Edwards and the man who took the IMPACT Championship from him last month, former WWE Superstar Eric Young.

Speaking about IMPACT's new UK home, the company's Executive Vice President Scott D'Amore said: "We’re very excited to be back in prime time and for our fans in the UK and Ireland to be able to catch all the action from our flagship weekly show for free… and just hours after it takes place in the United States.

"The fans over there are some of the most passionate and knowledgeable wrestling fans in the world. They love IMPACT Wrestling and we’re beginning this new partnership with Premier Sports at the perfect time, with a stacked BOUND FOR GLORY just weeks away."

Speaking about how the company's veterans are all willing to look out for and mentor the company's rising stars, Rhino said: "I was in the IMPACT locker room and I watched Eddie Edwards walk by and I see Dreamer talking to younger talent trying to help them become better than what they are.

"I see Don Callis in the corner talking to someone, I see Rob Van Dam sitting there, either eating or, you know, being Rob Van Dam and I took a deep breath and I thought, 'I'm part of something pretty great'.

"And this is coming from a guy that's been in a lot of locker rooms over 26 years and I look over and see Heath coming down the hallway and I think, 'and I've got my best friend here too.'"

IMPACT! airs Wednesday nights at 10pm on FreeSports. Catch Bound For Glory live on Premiere Sport on Sunday, October 25 at 1am.
