IMPACT Wrestling & ROH Offering Surprising Money With New Contracts

AEW opened the floodgates on a popular opinion that WWE isn’t the only pro wrestling company around anymore. However, there are already other companies with weekly shows who are willing to lay down serious money for their stars.

Bryan Alvarez explained on Wrestling Observer Radio that Impact Wrestling and ROH are also offering some impressive deals as they secure talent. So although AEW might be making a lot of noise there are other options out there after WWE for Superstars who wish to leave.

“If you’re an under-card guy like Luke Harper you’re not making $1 million a year in WWE, okay and I realize that historically Impact and Ring Of Honor haven’t paid a ton of money, but I can tell you for a fact that over the last six to eight months people have gotten offers and contracts from Ring Of Honor and Impact Wrestling that would very much surprise you.”

“I mean they’re not $1 million deals or anything like that, but they’re not nothing deals. So there are places for people to work and not only that, but there has never been a better time to make money on the indies. So there are people who are going to wait out their contracts with WWE and leave and one of the reasons for that is because Vince McMahon doesn’t apparently care about AEW, although he should.”

WWE isn’t the only promotion on the planet which is something we’ve been saying for a long time. AEW has opened up a lot of eyes about what else is out there. Some WWE loyalists might not like this, but that is the case.

Therefore, it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see even more Superstars wait out their contracts and leave WWE once their contracts are up.
