James Storm Was Set For To Debut For WWE Raw Prior To Global Pandemic
Current NWA World Tag Team champion James Storm was set to make his WWE RAW debut earlier this year, but the COVID-19 pandemic derailed those plans.
Storm, who has wrestled on NXT before, tells Pro Wrestling Sheet that WWE’s Canyon Ceman said that Paul Heyman was interested in bringing Storm to RAW. While it wasn’t confirmed, Storm believed that he could’ve tagged with his former partner Bobby Roode on the red brand. “We agreed on all the terms,” Storm says. “It was signed.”
However, the decision kept getting delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Storm last talked to WWE in July about the deal. Despite the setback, Storm is still hopeful that he’ll wind up in WWE at some point as he is a free agent.
“You just take it and keep rolling,” Storm said of the situation. “It’s not their fault. It’s just how everything is right now.”
