Ken Shamrock To Wrestle At Impact Wrestling's Bound For Glory

Ken Shamrock will face Moose in arguably the most high profile match of Impact Wrestling's Bound For Glory pay-per-view.

The contest was confirmed by Impact Wrestling via their website after weeks of heavy-handed suggestions from all sides than an eventual encounter was likely to go ahead. The two have sparred verbally for some time, with a 20-year age gap negated by the reputation Shamrock has managed to maintain from his dual personas in pro wrestling and mixed martial arts.

The October 20th supercard boasts a blockbuster main event between Brian Cage and Sami Callihan over Impact's World Heavyweight Championship, but the allure of company's inaugural titleholder making his first appearance in a mainstream wrestling ring in 15 years may trump traditional interest in the headline attraction.

With all pro wrestling eyes on WWE and AEW this October, Impact have done well to put themselves back in the conversation, not least with a match sure to draw a number of additional curious viewers. The news comes just days after the confirmation of Impact moving to AXS TV with almost immediate effect in what stands to be their most significant broadcasting shift since moving to Spike TV in 2005, and amidst rumours that parent company Anthem could even be interested in swallowing up Ring Of Honor.
