According to Dave Meltzer, former IWGP heavyweight champion Kenny Omega has received a “fantastic offer” from WWE. He did not reveal any other details regarding the offer that was reportedly made.
This rumor was reported prior to Omega facing Tanahashi in the main event at Wrestle Kingdom 13 yesterday. Omega lost the IWGP title to Tanahashi during the match.
As of now, Omega’s status with The Young Bucks and Cody Rhodes’ new “All Elite Wrestling” promotion is unknown. Omega is seen as a “wildcard,” and his future status is still unclear.
It should also be noted that NJPW reportedly wants to keep him, and AEW wants him signed as well.
