A top match for Impact Wrestling’s next pay-per-view event, Slammiversary XVII, has been officially announced.
Impact World Champion Brian Cage will defend his title against Michael Elgin. This marks the first match announced for the show. Historically, the World Title headlines all of Impact’s PPV events. While the promotion has yet to name the main event for this show, it’s likely to go on last.
Cage won the championship by defeating Johnny Impact at the Rebellion pay-per-view event in April.
Impact Wrestling is slated to hold their Slammiversary XVII pay-per-view event on July 7, 2019, in Dallas, Texas at Gilley’s Dallas. The event will air on traditional PPV outlets and the FITE TV app. The promotion will be announcing more matches in the coming weeks.
