ROH Survival Of The Fittest Finals Set

It’s only Wednesday, but it’s already been an eventful week in the world of Ring of Honor. Here’s everything you need to know about the promotion right now.

This past week’s episode of ROH Wrestling almost finalized the field for the Survival of the Fittest. Bandido beat Bateman in a qualifying match, and his victory only left one open spot in the finals.

In the main event, Tony Deppen successfully defended the ROH World Television Championship against Tracy Williams and Dragon Lee. Because Deppen pinned Williams, Lee came out of the bout with a strong claim for a rematch, and the bout was booked for ROH Best in the World.

This weekend on ROH Wrestling, Matt Taven will face Dutch in the big man’s in-ring debut. Dutch cost Taven his match with Vincent at ROH 19th Anniversary and aligned with The Righteous shortly thereafter. It’s fair to say Taven will hope to pick up some revenge in this bout, but the recent return of Vincent doesn’t bode well for the former ROH World Champion.

Plus, the Survival of the Fittest finals will reward the victor with a shot at the ROH World Championship. Chris Dickinson, Demonic Flamita, Eli Isom, Bandido, Brian Johnson and Rhett Titus will face off in a six-man elimination match to determine the winner of the tournament.

On the latest episode of ROH Week By Week, Rhett Titus earned his spot in the Survival of the Fittest finals by beating Danhausen in a hard-fought match.

The show also revealed the updated rankings; Fred Yehi leads the way in the Pure Division, and he has earned a title shot against Jonathan Gresham in two weeks ROH Wrestling. Josh Woods (2) and Rhett Titus (3) are right behind Yehi.

This week on ROH Women’s Division Wednesday, Angelina Love will face Allie Recks. The show airs every Wednesday at 7 p.m. EST on the company’s YouTube channel. Last week, Rok-C defeated Laynie Luck. Plus, Nicole Savoy and Mandy Leon got their Tickets to Gold for the ROH Women’s Title Tournament

This Thursday, the second Pure Wrestling gauntlet match in ROH history will air on the company’s YouTube channel. Given the way that the winner of the first contest, Fred Yehi quickly rose through the ranks, it’s fair to assume that the victor of this match could earn a title shot sooner rather than later.

The Briscoes are one of the most legendary tag teams in ROH history, but because the brothers continue to argue, they’ll face off in the first-ever Fight on the Farm. This unusual bout will air on ROH Wrestling the weekend of July 3.

In the latest edition of the Eck’s Files, ROH staff member Kevin Eck spotlighted the brewing feud between the ROH World Tag Team Champions Rhett Titus & Tracy Williams and Chris Dickinson & Homicide. Dickinson and Homicide of Violence Unlimited attacked The Foundation stablemates backstage, and after the assault, Titus and Williams hinted that they want to face their rivals in a fight without honor.

These two teams are on opposite sides of the stable warfare that continues to escalate in ROH, and this conflict could come to a head at ROH Best in the World.

After their match on ROH TV, Tracy and Rhett returned to the locker room where they were confronted and attacked by Violence Unlimited and unfortunately… our cameras did not catch the backstage brawl but we were able to catch up with the tag champs shortly after the attack… pic.twitter.com/zRhKeW15fd
