The ROH World Championship will be defended in Arena Mexico next month.
Bandido will put his title on the line when he faces Mascara Dorada on the June 17 CMLL vs. AEW & ROH show. The match had previously been announced but Tony Khan didn’t confirm the title would be on the line until Sunday’s AEW Double or Nothing post-show press conference.
“Tuesday night, the night before Grand Slam in Arena Mexico for the Ring of Honor World Championship, we have confirmed with CMLL, Bandido will defend the title against Mascara Dorada,” Khan said at the presser.
Bandido also mentioned Mistico as another CMLL star he’d like to defend the ROH title against.
Bandido, Komander, AR Fox, and Hologram defeated Lio Rush, Action Andretti, Trent Beretta, and Rocky Romero on the AEW Double or Nothing Zero Hour pre-show.
