Sheamus, Morrison & Usos Return To WWE TV - Who Else Could Be Coming Back?

On the first edition of Smackdown on FOX in 2020 we saw The Fella Sheamus return for what we thought was an assist to Shorty G as Gable was getting assaulted by The Revival, actually turned to a Brogue kick onto Shorty G by the Celtic Warrior. It seems Sheamus is back to his old ways of taking down "lesser men" as he has been hinting throughout the past few weeks. Look for Sheamus to participate in the 2020 Royal Rumble and help build a program with Shorty G throughout the next several weeks and possibly into Wrestlemania.

John Morrison also returned to WWE television when he made a cameo appearance on Smackdown Live during a backstage segment which saw Cathy Kelley try an interview with The Miz after was done with a match against Kofi Kingston which saw a heel turn from The Miz after beating on Kofi Kingston after their match. Look for Miz and Morrison to possibly tag team moving forward, going back to the roots of their WWE careers when the two would team together. Look for a program between them and The New Day and look for Morrison to be a part of the Royal Rumble pay per view this year.

At the end of the night, we saw The Usos return to action and team with Roman Reigns after Reigns was attacked by Baron Corbin and Dolph Ziggler after a tag match that had the two heels face the team of Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan. Bryan would be distracted however as The Fiend made his way into the arena and go at it with Bryan. The Usos ended up stopping an attempted dog food feeding from Ziggler and Corbin onto Reigns and were able to take out the two and save their cousin. Expect the Corbin and Reigns program involving all other parties to culminate within the next several weeks as Reigns is expected to face The Fiend at Wrestlemania 36 as of right now.

With all that said, let's take a look at who else we should be seeing return soon to both Raw and Smackdown Live:

Nia Jax:

Jax has been out for the majority of a year to take care of her knees. We last saw her through social media as she was training at the WWE Performance Center. It's rumored that Jax should be making her return by the Royal Rumble this year.

Ronda Rousey:

Rumors have been swirling about a return from Ronda Rousey. If this happens, her return would be at the Royal Rumble as it's rumored she would be winning the 2020 Royal Rumble match and challenging Becky Lynch (after defeating Asuka in their scheduled match) and ultimately take down The Man. If this does not go down as planned, other plans call for Shayna Baszler to be in place of Ronda Rousey, win the women's Royal Rumble and challenge Becky for her title at Mania.

CM Punk:

Everyone knows that the talk of the town around Wrestlemania season is the possibility of some of the biggest names in pro wrestling returning for a match or appearance at the big show. CM Punks' name is no different. There is speculation that Punk could be back soon to begin a program with the McMahon family and somehow get involved with Seth Rollins and the AOP, resulting in a match between him and Rollins at Mania. For whatever it's worth, Punk signing and returning to active competition with WWE would arguably be one of the biggest stories of 2020 out of the gate.

Tyson Fury:

Tyson Fury has a big fight coming up in February against Deontay Wilder. A win for the current champ could be historic and bring in extreme momentum for him for a match at Wrestlemania 36. While things aren't fully clear at the moment. A match with him and Brock Lesnar could be a possibility.

Cain Velasquez:

Cain Velasquez still has a score to settle with The Beast, Brock Lesnar. A rubber match could be what's needed for a 100 percent healthy Cain. Even though the match between the two took place at Crown Jewel, a rubber match between Lesnar and Velasquez could take place at Wrestlemania, but the stakes could be raised if it happens.

The Undertaker and Sting:

For years many fans have asked for the dream match of two of the greatest legends in the history of all of professional wrestling and sports entertainment. Sting and The Undertaker could be something that could happen, whether that be in a match, or as a tag team. Rumors out there are that the two could face off at Wrestlemania 36, however, this would be both their last matches. Other rumors are that the two would have a face-off, but a match between them would be unlikely and that a tag team match with them as a team could also happen.

Edge:

Edge, while denying the rumors of his return, looks to be returning at the 2020 Royal Rumble and perhaps setting up a program with Randy Orton to reform rated RKO and help take out The O.C. as Orton and Styles have had a program for some time now. Look for the program to possibly culminate at WM 36.
