Chaos and Returns Highlight TNA iMPACT! in Minneapolis – September 18, 2025
TNA returned to The Armory in Minneapolis on September 18 with an action-packed edition of iMPACT! that delivered big matches, surprise returns, and a shocking ambush as the road to Bound For Glory and Victory Road heats up.
The night opened with Judas Icarus scoring the biggest win of his TNA run to date when he pinned veteran Eric Young. Icarus hit an early dive to the floor to rattle Young, but the former World Champion fought back with a thunderous powerbomb. Icarus connected with a frog splash from the top rope for a near fall before Young tried to turn the tide with a low blow. As Young looked to finish with his piledriver, Joe Hendry made his presence felt, distracting Young long enough for Icarus to counter and steal the win.
Mike Santana picked up a statement victory over AJZ in singles action, blasting him with a discus lariat on the way to the finish. After the bell, Santana grabbed the microphone and once again called out TNA World Champion Trick Williams, making it clear his eyes are set on the gold. Before Santana could celebrate, Ridge Holland shocked the crowd by attacking him from behind, drilling him with a cradle DDT and leaving him laid out in the ring.
Mustafa Ali continued his momentum with a win over Brian Myers. Ali’s victory carried extra weight as it was announced that his faction, Order 4, will collide with The System in a Hardcore War match at Bound For Glory, adding more fuel to one of TNA’s hottest rivalries.
The women’s division took center stage with a six-woman tag team match, as the Elegance brand of Ash, Heather, and M defeated the team of Masha Slamovich, Cassie Lee, and Jessie McKay. The win keeps the Elegance trio’s momentum strong as they continue to assert themselves in the Knockouts ranks.
Later in the night, Indi Hartwell battled Dani Luna in a physical contest. Hartwell looked to be closing in on victory, but the match ended in disqualification when Luna resorted to underhanded tactics, giving Hartwell the official win but leaving her visibly frustrated.
In a heated in-ring segment, Frankie Kazarian hosted another edition of “The King’s Speech” and introduced the returning Ken Anderson, who hadn’t been seen in TNA since 2016. Kazarian antagonized Anderson by mocking Steve Maclin’s military service, which led to Jake Something attacking Anderson. Maclin rushed in to make the save, setting up a clash between Kazarian and Maclin at Victory Road.
The main event saw the TNA World Tag Team Championships on the line as The Hardys defended against Nic and Ryan Nemeth. The Nemeths worked smart early, isolating Jeff Hardy and nearly scoring the upset when Nic connected with a flying elbow drop. Jeff kicked out and made the hot tag to Matt, who turned the tide with his trademark offense. Ryan Nemeth tried to use the championship belt as a weapon, but Matt Cardona, seated at commentary, stopped him from cheating. That opened the door for Matt Hardy to hit the Twist of Fate, followed by Jeff soaring off the top with the Swanton Bomb to seal the victory and keep the titles around the waists of the legendary brothers.
This week’s iMPACT! set the tone for what’s to come. Mike Santana’s pursuit of Trick Williams has gotten more complicated with Ridge Holland entering the picture, Mustafa Ali and Order 4 are marching into war with The System, and Ken Anderson’s return has reignited old rivalries. With Bound For Glory and Victory Road on the horizon, the landscape of TNA is more unpredictable than ever.
