It’s been one week now since WWE made a series of talent and staff cuts. The reason that was given from WWE was due to the impacts of the coronavirus on WWE’s budget. Before the cuts happened, WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon recorded a video to all employees where he would address the widespread cuts that would be incoming. Those impacted by the cuts included wrestlers, producers, announcers, other on-air talents, coaches, a referee, and a creative writer. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reports that he’s heard from a lot of AEW talent this week about both AEW President Tony Khan and the reaction among the locker room about the mass talent cuts. First, many wrestlers put Khan over for his leadership through these times. It was noted that Khan has gone above to make sure that everyone is taken care of and doing well. It was noted that there was a lot of concern from those on the AEW roster about the loss of work within WWE. Per the report, there were some who were also curious as to how high up the totem pole the cuts would go.
